Counselling Services for the Elderly in Singapore
Counselling services for elderly persons in Singapore are available through community-based and centre-based support, providing older adults with a structured and appropriate avenue to talk about emotional, social, or psychological concerns. At SAGE Counselling Centre, these services are delivered through face-to-face counselling for older persons, their caregivers, and family members, focusing on issues and concerns that may arise during later-life transitions.
As a provider of senior counselling services, SAGE supports seniors who may be experiencing emotional distress, changes in family relationships, caregiving pressures, social isolation, or difficulties adjusting to health or lifestyle changes. These counselling sessions are conducted at the centre, with in-home counselling for elderly individuals available when additional support is needed due to mobility or health considerations. All counselling services are provided in a non-clinical, community setting that values confidentiality, respect, and care without judgement.
Professional Counselling Services for Seniors Trust
Counselling sessions offer a structured avenue to discuss concerns that may affect daily functioning, relationships, or decision-making, including personal, social, or psychological matters that emerge over time.
Services are delivered by trained counsellors who apply established and appropriate counselling approaches suited to older adults. Each session takes into account the individual circumstances of the older person, including the complexities that may arise during later-life transitions. Within this structured setting, counsellors provide a clear and appropriate avenue for clients to discuss personal, social, or psychological concerns at a pace suited to their needs.
All counselling services follow clear ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and responsible practice at every stage of care. As a non-profit Social Service Agency, SAGE Counselling Centre upholds accountability and professional integrity in its work with older persons and their families. This ensures that older persons, caregivers, and family members receive counselling services that are consistent and aligned with recognised professional practice.
In-Home Counseling for Elderly Who Need Extra Support
In-home counseling for elderly individuals is available for seniors who may face mobility limitations, health conditions, or practical constraints that make attending centre-based sessions difficult. By receiving counselling in their own homes, older persons are able to engage in sessions within a familiar environment, supporting participation without added physical strain.
Our in-home counselling sessions also follow the same structure and professional standards as centre-based counselling, ensuring consistency in service delivery. Our team of counsellors take into account each individual’s circumstances, providing an appropriate setting for older persons to discuss concerns.
